2017 to Blast Off with Microgaming
Microgaming’s ante is the 2017 MPN Poker Tour to be held in Vienna in January. A special Cash Game Adventure will be held alongside the poker festival.
The leading software provider announced that the main event offers a €200,000 guarantee. The event packages players can find online include entry to the €150 MPNPT Austria Poker Cup and the €550 MPNPT Main Event, a welcome party, €400 toward travel and other costs, and four nights’ accommodation and breakfasts for two at the Roomz Hotel.
The Cash Game Adventure will take place on the day before the festival begins. It will feature nine players in a quest for €30,000 in cash.
South Korea’s First Casino Resort
Players can look forward to a new international gaming destination set to open in 2017. South Korea is all set to welcome its first integrated casino resort.
Initially, players thought that Caesars Entertainment would be the company to develop the Asian country’s first casino resort, but that honour has actually gone to a local operator.
Paradise City, near the Incheon Airport, will be opened by Paradise Co. Ltd, the country’s largest casino operator, in partnership with Japan’s Sega Sammy Holdings. The integrated resort, which should open in the first quarter of the year, will offer not only quality gaming, but local food and culture, K-pop concerts, and much more as well to foreign players only.
Virtual Reality Casino Race
Following on from the augmented reality smash hit Pokémon Go, many players wondered if augmented and virtual reality would become a reality of online and mobile casinos such as Cabaret Club.
It’s bound to happen, and it may come sooner than you think. Microgaming has already turned a few heads with its virtual reality roulette game that uses Oculus Rift tech such as the DK2 headset and the Leap Motion 3D controller.
Other developers have also joined the race to make virtual reality casinos, well, a reality. 2017 is earmarked as the year in which several thrilling projects such as VR slots will go live, and we’re sure that’s just the start of good things to come.
Just For The Win On Quickfire
2017 will also see the much-anticipated Just For the Win games go live on Microgaming’s Quickfire platform. Microgaming entered into an agreement with the new studio this year.
The studio has not yet released any casino games, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store. According to the studio, their immersive, entertaining games incorporate unique mathematical features.
